Day 4: Bad habit

Biting my nails. I'm not one of those people who like chews off the entire nail or anything like that, but its a nervous/bored habit. Sometimes I don't even realize I'm doing it until Aaron tells me to quit. Also hang nails or a ripped nail if clippers are not readily available (and most times they aren't) I will continue biting until its gone. I try not to but I just fixate on it until I can't stand it any longer.

I've always wanted long beautiful nails Like this:

But unfortunately they snag on something and then I start biting. Ick.

By the way, just so you know, if you google long fingernails, some pretty nasty picture come up. I guess by biting my nails I'm insuring to never look like any of those! :)

Day 3: Pictures with Friends

Tonya and I

Kelsey and I

Sarah and I

Kate and I

Aaron and I

The people in these pictures are the people who know me, probably better than I even know myself. They've seen me at my best, and they've seen me at my worst, which isn't pretty, but every single one of them loves me in-spite of my mistakes and my faults. They have helped to mold me into the person I am, but still challenge me to become better. So to, Tonya, Kelsey, Sarah, Kate, and Aaron, I love you. You mean the world to me and I would not trade your friendship and all the memories we've made, and have yet to make for anything in the world. Thank you for being the very best of friends!

Day 1, Why I Started the Blog

I don't really remember where I found out about Blogger, I think I had known about it for quite some time before I started this. I started it when Aaron and I had decided that I would move to Dominica with him as a way to share what was going on in our lives with our friends and family back home. It is such a great medium for giving people a glimpse into our lives and what we are up to. I stopped blogging when we moved back to Iowa for a while, life just got super busy with Visiting friends and family, planning our wedding, Aaron preparing for the USMLE Step 1, and getting ready to move to New York. Now that we're here in NY I've been trying to keep up with it again.

When I started the blog I wanted it to be something meaningful to us. Because as much as I am writing to keep friends and family updated, it is also here to document our lives. Its fun to look back and see what we were and what did and where we are now. Come What May is actually a song from the movie Moulin Rouge. It somehow became a favorite of ours. Whenever it played on one of our iPods we would always be silly and sing along, and normally as loud as we possibly could. Then it slowly became the theme of our entire relationship, especially once he started med school. For our wedding we wrote our own vows and both of us ended them with the phrase "Come What May"

So now you know why this blog exists and why its called what it is!
